As a native of Hampton Roads, I was born in Virginia Beach and have lived in the Wmsbg/JCC area since 1985. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, I practiced as a Registered Nurse from 2002 - 2016 holding several certifications including adult critical care with a sub-specialty in cardiac surgery. My nursing career spanned throughout several teaching hospitals including the Medical College of Virginia and Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Realizing that veterinary medicine is where my true passion has always been, I returned to school to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
I achieved most of my veterinary training here at Anderson’s Corner (2011-2016), and am delighted to be rejoining a great team that provides excellent care. I am an avid proponent of the One Health initiative (a philosophy that incorporates aspects of both human and veterinary medicine to benefit all species), and am excited to bring that approach with me to Anderson’s Corner and to be serving my own community.
I currently reside here in Williamsburg with my husband. Together we have three grown children and were just recently blessed with our first grandchild. Our four-legged family consists of 3 dogs: Zeus (12 year old Great Dane), Noogie (16 year old Dachshund), Casey (10 year old Pug) and 2 cats: Chloe (20 years old) & Stinky (2 years old - who definitely lives up to his name!) In my spare time, I enjoy reading, travel, family time, pilates/yoga, time on the river and there’s a good chance you’ll find me anywhere there’s live music.
