Penny

Treatment Team Manager

Penny started in the field of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 as a veterinary receptionist.  She transitioned into kennels and then veterinary assistant to round out her skills.  She started with Anderson’s Corner in 2008 when it opened. Over the last 8 years she has enjoyed many responsibilities, especially working with clients and answering questions. She is an excellent team player and asset to ACAH.  Penny resides in New Kent with her son Gunner, a dog and two cats.  In her spare time she enjoys scrapbooking and summers at Busch Gardens.

Roxann

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Roxann grew up in Newport News, VA, and moved to the Toano area in 2012, when she joined the ACAH family. She graduated from Blue Ridge Community College as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2008. She has a passion for anesthesia, surgery, and veterinary dentistry. She enjoys client education and spending time with pet owners to share her knowledge with them.

Her love of animals has been part of her entire life, bringing her to rescue two very special dogs of her own, Ruby and Sapphire. Outside of Anderson’s Corner, she loves spending time with her very close friends and family, especially her husband and son.

Sherrie

Licensed Veterinary Technician

My name is Sherrie. I started working in the Veterinary field as a Vet Assistant in 2000 and graduated from Cedar Valley Community College in 2007 with a degree in Veterinary Technology with honors. Prior to 2000, I worked as a certified Corporate Travel Agent for government contractors. I am originally from Northern Va, and moved to Williamsburg in 2003. I joined the ACAH family in May 2010. My special interests include anesthesia and surgery, dentistry and avian medicine. I am proud to work at such a perfect facility where I can utilize all of my skills!

Away from work, I can be found spending time with my husband (Chris), 3 children (Logan, Carter and Avery), 3 dogs (Wilbur, Chance and Finn), and 2 cats (Tinkerbelle, Dexter and Sully). They certainly keep me on my toes!

Donna

Treatment Technician

My name is Donna. I was born in California, but have lived in the Williamsburg area for 27 years. I have had the pleasure of working at ACAH since August 2010, which has been a great experience. The staff is fabulous, and I enjoy spending time with clients and providing high quality patient care. Prior to joining the team at ACAH, I volunteered with Dr. Welch.  I graduated from William and Mary with a BS in biology in 2013. I am going to attend veterinary school, get a PhD in cell and molecular biology and become a veterinary professor. My clinical interests include client education, preventative medicine, nutrition, behavior, exotic/ avian/ wildlife medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, and oncology. I have been working in research for 10 years and am currently working on a cancer project in a biochemistry lab. My current pets include four cats (Mittens, Purkinje, Chordae and Melani), a dog (Bootsie), a rabbit (Buster), a hedgehog (Rosalind), and a bearded dragon (Loki). In my spare time I enjoy reading, working out/ running (training for a marathon), martial arts (I am a black belt), horseback riding, SCUBA diving, traveling, learning about cultures and art, and volunteering in underprivileged communities (especially with World Vets).

Heather

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Hello, I’m Heather. I moved to Virginia in September of 2016 from Rochester, NY. I graduated from Medaille College’s Veterinary Technology program in Buffalo, NY and have been a licensed Veterinary Technician since November 2013. My favorite parts of my job are phlebotomy and processing lab work.

I share my home with my wife, Chelsie, cats (Skyler and Bob), dogs (Finn and Dexter) and share my yard with my farm animals. I love cats and like to think of myself as a “self-proclaimed” cat-whisperer. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, singing, hiking, swimming, and playing video games.

Jennifer

I'm Jennifer but I prefer to be called Jenny. I've been in veterinary medicine for about 11 years. Prior to joining the team at Anderson's Corner Animal Hospital in August of 2017, I worked at Gloucester Veterinary Hospital. Helping and working with animals is my passion. I intend to apply to LVT school next year. I have 2 cats, a dog and a bearded dragon. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my son and husband as well as reading and gaming.

Holly

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Holly graduated from San Juan College in 2016 with a degree in Veterinary Technology with honors. She recently rejoined the ACAH team after a few years living in Pennsylvania. She especially enjoys anesthesia, which she plans on pursuing a specialty in. She also enjoys helping to strengthen the human-animal bond through client education.

Outside of work, Holly spends her time with her husband and three dogs, Claire, Sullivan and Wally. She also enjoys running, reading and spending time outdoors.

Alicia

Treatment Technician

Alicia has been with Andersons Corner Animal Hospital since July 2017. She has 2 dogs and 3 cats. Alicia has been a veterinary assistant with various organizations since 2009. She has worked in various clinics, shelters, and emergency clinics. Alicia has a B.S. degree in Biology from ODU and hopes to pursue further education and research in conservation and wildlife. She enjoys a myriad of activities outside work including but not limited to; walking her dogs, hiking, swimming, reading, knitting, SCUBA diving, gardening, biking, yoga, and travel.

My name is Kaitlyn, and I'm from Richmond. I enjoy spending a lot of time out doors. I have a yellow lab named Jake, and we like to play in the back yard a whole lot. I am currently enrolled in college for nursing.

Hey there! I'm Teona, but most people call me Tea. I'm from  Southwest Louisiana. I moved to the area in April of 2018. I have been working in the Veterinary field for 4 years now, but I have grown up in and around it. I have a passion for animals and I'm always looking forward to learning more in my field. I have 2 cats that are my world. I am also a proud military spouse. GO NAVY! I can't wait to meet your fur babies and help you with anything I can.
